This course is very similar to the American Heart Association’s BLS course however American Safety Health Institute curriculum is utilized. In this course students learn how to recognize a life-threatening emergency, how to provide basic life support and what to do in case of an airway obstruction or choking. ASHI’s Basic Life Support, BLS for Healthcare Providers and Professional Rescuers has been approved for training for emergency medical services personnel and is accepted by the national registry of emergency medical technicians (NREMT).

Humans want to believe that we will rise to our level of expectation under stress but eventually we fall to our level of training.

This course is “fundamental” like learning to swim, listening to Hank Sr. or eating bacon. We strive to get your level of confidence, responsiveness and situational awareness better than it was before the class. Much Better!

ASHI certified; CPR, AED, comprehensive First Aid and even a little bit of basic fighting using some Krav Maga. If you are lawfully able to conceal and carry a firearm; training will also incorporate pistol-retention drills from the “clinch” and CCW close contact drills. (Come to class brushed up. I recommend dry-firing. If you don't know what that is, go to YouTube.)
